There are several possibilities and one of them is Windows itself. So how come I can't use a recent, relatively high-performance machine running Windows 10 Pro? Clearly there's something wrong. Since many years you could use a Mac as a proper recorder, no problems. It doesn't suit mine and their software suits my needs even less. I think Apple hardware is fine if it suits your needs. To me they design is very good, in the style "we made everthing for you just go there and use". I honestly don't see much why use MAC if you are not using a mac only software.
