Our mission is to make it easy to read and understand the Qur’an. Narrated ‘Aisha – Sahih al-Bukhari 5017:Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) went to bed every night, he used to cup his hands together and blow over it after reciting Surat Al-Ikhas, Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas, and then rub his hands over whatever parts of his body he was able to rub, starting with his head, face and front of his body. According to hadith, we learn the Prophet (ﷺ) would often recite these two Surahs right before going to bed. The recitation of these two Surahs will protect people from many evils, including the evil eye. Together these two surahs are known as al Mu’awwidhatayn (meaning, ‘the two protectors’) It is believed that Surah Nas and Surah Falaq were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) during a time of illness. Meaning, “I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak…”
